Love your page!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best I've seen......................Thnx bro! andy Dear Craig, I used this (Humbucker Lovers -ed.) diagram on my first guitar I made and it sounds so good. It is really the sound that brings out the best in my guitar... Brian Clem Hello, I rewired my guitar successfully. The sound is absolutely fantastic! It is still a real Stratocaster but it has so many different sounds. I use Fender Hot Noiseless pickups and they sound absolutely great with your guitar wiring. After trying to understand the 5-way-switch and checking different positions with my multimeter, it was easy to know how the switch should be connected. I only would like to say that it could be helpful to picture the whole switch or to explain each position, as it is not really easy to understand it. Also my 5 way switch (an original Fender) looks a little bit different compared with the one on your diagram. Thanks for your email; it really helped me. I wonder why this kind of wiring a guitar is not used more as it offers more varieties than the S1 switching manufactured by Fender. The series connection of the pickups is especially great. All in all it is a real Mega Strat and a great sounding guitar. I will recommend this Mega Strat wiring to all my friends. By the way, I agree that a picture of a finished wiring would not have helped - it's very complex. Thank you! Roland from Austria Hi Craig, I followed the link to your site from Frank Marino's site. Nice job! Thanks for all the great tips, schematics, etc. I've only begun to scratch the surface, but I'll be back many times, I'm sure. Jim Glynn (aka LimbaSG) Yo, My charvel was very improperly wired so that it had 2 hums and a fiveway but it didn’t even coil split. Your diagram helped fix it. You're the only site that had what I was looking for. Thanks, Steve Steve Kelley |
